Prevention and mitigation measures against phishing emails: a sequential schema model

Phishing emails have permeated our digital communication, taking advantage of vulnerabilities that the information technology system poses to users. Given potential for further cybersecurity incidents, theft personally identifiable information, and damage organizations’ assets, professionals implemented various mitigation practices combat phishing emails. This paper categorizes current in relation a sequential schema adopted from situational crime prevention approach, so as enable more organized strategic assessment human environmental vulnerabilities. Our model could be useful advance measures an incident progresses criminologists other academic researchers reduce severity subsequent criminal incidents.
